Access Statement
Treveague Campsite aims to offer access to everyone.
See here for directions to getting to the campsite.
Mobile phone reception is generally good, but this does depend on your network. EE is probably the strongest signal. Free WIFI is available in the Café areas.
There is a mandatory 5mph speed limit on the site which is enforced and we do not permit car movements into the site in the hours of darkness.
The campsite is made of level grass fields, but there are some gentle slopes which help preserve the views for all guests. Pitches which give the most level access to the shower block, reception and café are 53, 54 and 55 all of which have electric and water on the pitch. They are also close to the bins, grey and chemical waste points. There is plenty of space for car parking around each pitch, for ease of loading and unloading. There are no kerbs on the tracks.
Other flat pitches with no slope would be 1 – 6 (electric & water) , 27 – 36 (electric), 48 - 52 (electric) , 56 (electric), 83, 103 – 106 (electric).
Off the main track through the site the surface is grass with the exception of the path down to the facilities which is concrete.
Assistance dogs are very welcome. Our signs are not in braille and we currently have no one trained in sign language or deaf awareness.
The following facilities are available:
Shower block
A dedicated facility, where access is controlled via a RADAR key, contains a shower, heater, low level washbasin and disabled toilet. There are supports around the shower and portable seating units for users. Access to the facility is down a sloping path with no steps. The dedicated unit is open to all when the other facilities are being cleaned.
The showers on each side have their temperature preset.
Laundry room
A continuation of the path to the shower block takes you to the laundry room. The path is level. There is a slight slope but there is a step into the laundry room. The washing machine is at floor level as is the drier.
Reception and Café
Access is from a continuation of the sloping path through two wide double gates. There are no steps into the Café, but there is a slight lip over the wide double doors which are generally open. Once inside the Café there are no steps. There is a lawned area outside the Café which has two steps down to it, but there other seating areas here with tables without steps.
The Café aims to offer a range of menu items covering Gluten Free, Vegan and those who have allergies. Please note though that the kitchen preparation area is small so we can not guarantee cross contamination.
